Northern Gauteng Win U21 Men’s IPT

Matthew Guise-Brown was the hero of the day when he scored the match winning drag flick in golden goal extra time at the U21 men’s IPT.

Free State started the game well and lead 1 – 0 at the half time break. Guise-Brown levelled the scores in the second half with a scorching drag flick.

Western Province ended third after beating Kaspersky Southerns 2-1.

KZN Raiders beat KZN Inland 5 – 3 to secure fifth place.

Eastern Province beat North West 4 – 3 in the battle for seventh position whilst WP Pens beat Kaspersky Wits 2 – 1 in a shoot-out competition after the sides drew 4 – 4 at full time.

Top goalscorer at the tournament went to Matthew Guise-Brown with 7 goals.

Player of the tournament was Western Province captain Grant Robertson.
