The World Masters Games are held every four years and is the worlds largest multi-sport event. This is the seventh World Masters games, being held in Sydney in 2009, with 29 292 competitors, with the youngest player being 24 and the eldest being 101 (Ruth Frith of Brisbane Australia). The average age of the 2009 competitors is 50 years old. Competitors from 95 countries compete in 28 different sports, using the Sydney Olympic village as the main venue.

Three teams are participating in the games
- Mens Colts side (over 35’s)
- Mens Vets side (over 45’s)
- Ladies side (over 40’s’)
The teams are made made up of players from Eastern Gauteng, with most coming from Boksburg, Benoni and Brakpan

Mufasa Colts 3 – 0 against Ramblers
Mufusa Vets 1 – 2 down to Mess 45
Mufusa Ladies 5 – 0 up against Reversby Ragers.
